About
Us
It's
definitely a family affair at Square Luggage. Mickey Piombo,
owner, has involved his large family in various facets of the
business. His wife, Fay, handles the accounting while his son,
Albert, manages the repair department. Mickey's daughters, Judy,
Lois, Donna and Patrice, are in sales. In-laws Tony, Chris, Sue
and Juanita lend a hand where needed and grandsons Kennie, Kevin,
Thomas and Albert Jr. are often seen in the stores.
In the 1930s, Mickey's
uncle, Tom, became a principal in the original location, which
faced the square-shaped Green in Morristown, thus the name Square
Luggage. Mickey began his career as a salesman on the road who
traveled a great deal. He thought that taking over the store would
give him more quality time with his family and would lead to more
opportunities for them. Since 1970, Mickey's determination and
vision has allowed Square Luggage to expand to several locations,
which include East Hanover and Morristown.
Square Luggage is a member of the
American Luggage Dealers Association (A.L.D.A.) and Mickey is a
board member. This group consists of more than 100 stores across
the nation. This association enables them to buy in volume and,
therefore, offer their customers a large selection at competitive
prices. Mickey also has been involved in preparing the direct-mail
catalog that is used by all the stores in the A.L.D.A.
Square Luggage is an authorized
warranty-repair center for major luggage companies and also is
authorized to process airline claims. Albert has earned a position
on the Board of Directors for the Internet Luggage Repair
Association (I.L.R.A.).
Visit the store and see for your
self the wonderful selection of quality luggage, leather goods,
unique gifts, travel accessories and business cases and enjoy
traffic shopping experience. Square Luggage, the trip you make
before the trip you take.
